Instead, the one that is here to blame is the bent valves. They will start to backfire when they can not make a proper seal. And sometimes, ignition can occur when both valves are closed. This opening and closing timing need to be perfect.

Overheating, a broken timing belt, poor quality oil, or the absence of engine oil are the culprits behind the Chevy 454 engine getting seized up. And when the engine gets seized up, it will eventually stop cranking, and that can make you get stuck in the middle of the road.
